IDRF Focus Areas

IDRF focuses on helping the poor and needy in all parts of India. As part of its three-pronged approach, IDRF provides funds for development, relief and rehabilitation projects.

In each project, beneficiaries are carefully chosen by IDRF supported NGOs using appropriate criteria such as economic status, immediate family support and other abnormal conditions such as natural calamities.

Development

IDRF funds benefit those who need support regardless of their caste, region, religion, sect, or creed. Projects that focus on education, women and childcare serve the needy women and children (both girls and boys), while healthcare and tribal welfare services benefit all in the regions or villages that are served.

Relief and Rehabilitation

When natural calamities such as earthquakes or cyclones hit, there will not be a difference between the poor and the rich in the affected regions. IDRF channels funds to NGOs that are at the forefront of providing relief and rehabilitation efforts to the victims of such calamities.

IDRF funds will be utilized to provide basic relief such as food, medicines, clothing, and shelter while the victims struggle to get back on their feet. Typically, IDRF supported NGOs reach far away places where sometimes government workers fail to reach to provide the much-needed support. IDRF funds are utilized in the best possible manner through such committed NGOs who keep highest standards of humanitarian services.
